1. What Taski is
Taski is an online marketplace that connects customers who need help with everyday tasks (the "Customers") with independent service providers who offer to perform those tasks (the "Taskers"). Taski itself is not the provider of the underlying services. Customers and Taskers contract directly with each other; Taski provides the platform, the wallet, and the safety tools that make those interactions possible.
2. Eligibility & accounts
To use Taski you must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into a contract, and located in Jordan. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and one-time passwords secure. You may not let anyone else use your account or transfer it to a third party.
3. User responsibilities
As a Customer using Taski you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and the tasks you post.
- Treat Taskers respectfully and professionally at all times.
- Pay agreed amounts on time and only through the Taski wallet.
- Not post tasks that are illegal, dangerous, or violate the rights of others.
4. Tasker responsibilities
As a Tasker you agree to:
- Only accept tasks you are qualified, equipped, and legally able to complete.
- Complete every accepted task on time and to the standard agreed with the Customer.
- Maintain professional conduct, accurate communication, and quality of service.
- Provide truthful identification and verification documents, including your Jordanian national ID.
- Comply with all applicable Jordanian labour, tax, and licensing requirements that apply to your activity as an independent service provider.
5. Payments & commission
Payments for tasks flow through the Taski wallet:
- For wallet-funded tasks, the agreed amount is reserved from the Customer's Taski wallet balance when the task is assigned. Reserved funds remain the Customer's until the task is confirmed; they are not held by a bank or a third party.
- For cash tasks, the Customer pays the Tasker directly on completion. Taski does not handle the money.
- When the task is marked complete and accepted by the Customer, the funds are released to the Tasker, less Taski's commission and any applicable fees.
- Taski's current commission rate is shown in the app at the time of booking and may change with notice.
- Tasker payouts are processed against verified payout details on a regular schedule. Payouts may be delayed for fraud review or compliance checks.
- Refunds and reversals are issued to the Customer's wallet at Taski's reasonable discretion in line with the dispute process below.
6. Prohibited activities
You may not, and may not encourage or help others to:
- Arrange or accept payment for a Taski-introduced task outside of the Taski platform ("off-platform payments").
- Create fake accounts, listings, ratings, or reviews.
- Engage in any form of fraud, money laundering, or attempts to chargeback legitimate payments.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or abuse other users or Taski staff.
- Post or transmit content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or infringes intellectual property.
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or otherwise misuse the platform or its APIs.
Violations may result in warnings, withheld payouts, account suspension, permanent termination, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
7. Dispute resolution
If a Customer and Tasker disagree about whether a task was completed correctly, we encourage them to resolve it directly through the in-app chat. If that is not possible, either party can escalate to Taski support. We will:
- Review the task details, chat history, photos, and any other relevant evidence.
- Freeze the reserved funds in the Customer's wallet until a decision is reached.
- Issue a fair resolution — full release, partial release, or full refund — at our reasonable discretion.
Our resolution is binding for the use of reserved funds on the platform, but does not prevent either party from pursuing their legal rights under Jordanian law.
8. Account termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if your activity puts other users at risk, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, any wallet balance owed to you (after settling open tasks, refunds, and any amounts due to Taski) will be paid out to a verified payout destination.
9. The Taski guarantee
If something of yours is damaged during a task you booked through Taski, Taski covers the damage we verify, up to 50 JOD per task. Tell us through Help and support in the app within 48 hours after the task ends. We may ask for photos.
10. Limitation of liability
Taski provides the platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Jordanian law:
- Taski is not a party to the contract between Customers and Taskers and is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any task performed, except the Taski guarantee in section 9.
- Taski is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
- Apart from the Taski guarantee, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the total commission Taski has actually collected from you in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Jordanian law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Taski harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right, except a claim under the Taski guarantee in section 9.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users in-app or by SMS and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Taski after the effective date of the changes means you accept the updated Terms.
