1. What we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the Taski marketplace and keep it safe:
- Account details: your phone number, full name, and preferred language.
- Location data: the area or coordinates you choose for a task, and your approximate location while completing one.
- Tasker verification: if you register as a Tasker, we collect your Jordanian national ID number and verification photos to confirm your identity.
- Task content: the descriptions, photos, prices, and messages you submit when posting or chatting about tasks.
- Payment information: wallet balance, top-up amounts, payout requests, and transaction history. Payments are made in cash or by CliQ bank transfer; we never collect or store card numbers.
- Device & usage data: basic technical information such as device type, app version, IP address, and crash logs needed for troubleshooting.
2. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Match customers with nearby Taskers and operate the chat, assignment, and review system.
- Process wallet top-ups, task payments, commissions, and payouts.
- Verify Tasker identities and keep the community safe from fraud and abuse.
- Send transactional notifications such as one-time passwords, task updates, and payment receipts.
- Improve the service, fix bugs, and analyse aggregate usage trends.
- Comply with applicable Jordanian laws and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with the partners that make Taski work:
- SMS provider (Twilio) to deliver one-time passwords and critical notifications to your phone number.
- Cloud infrastructure providers that host our database and file storage on our behalf.
- Other Taski users only see the information needed to complete the task — for example, your first name, rating, and approximate location once you accept or post a task.
- Authorities when we are required to disclose information by Jordanian law or a valid court order.
4. How long we keep your data
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction and audit records are retained for the period required by Jordanian commercial and tax law, even after account deletion. Backups are rotated on a regular schedule and overwritten over time.
5. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Update your name, language, and notification preferences from the profile screen in the app.
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data (see below).
6. Deleting your account
To delete your account and the personal data linked to it, email privacy@taskijo.com from the phone number or email associated with your Taski account. We will verify your identity, close any open tasks or wallet balances, and remove your personal information within 30 days. Anonymised transaction records that we are legally required to keep will be retained without identifying details.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed credentials, role-based access controls, and audit logging on sensitive admin actions. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for any linked accounts and never share your one-time passwords with anyone.
8. Children
Taski is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify users in-app or by SMS and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
